3 reasons to give a virtual assistant another try

Some of the horror stories I’ve heard from clients about virtual assistants they’ve previously worked with are mind-blowing! From assistants who disappear without a word, to those who repeatedly miss deadlines or do shoddy work which makes the client look bad. Sadly, there are some VAs who give our industry a bad reputation, but let me assure you, there are some superstar VAs too!

If you’ve had a bad experience with a VA it may have understandably made you nervous about working with one again. So you’re left trying to juggle ALL the plates and do everything yourself, leaving you overwhelmed and stressed, with too little time to work on the things you love, or on the revenue-generating tasks that will grow your business.

Please don’t let one bad experience prevent you from working with another VA. When you find the right VA it will transform your business and your life!

“Emma is not only brilliant at what she does, but she makes you brilliant at whatever you do too. I'd worked with a sequence of VAs previously and none came close.”

Read on for 3 reasons to give a virtual assistant another try.

1. You can learn from your bad experience

Review the process you went through when you hired your last VA. Were they recommended to you, or did you hire them from a site like Fiverr or from overseas because they were a bargain (or so you thought)..?

Even if they were recommended to you, did you make sure they had the skills and experience you needed? Did you check the authenticity of their reviews and testimonials? Did you have a chat with them to get a gut feeling about whether you would work well together?

I know, I know… All this takes time. But if you’re going to put your business in their hands it’s time well spent.

I can take away the headache of finding a VA by matching you with someone who has the experience and qualities you need! I'd love to help you find your perfect VA.

2. Doing everything yourself is losing you money

Doing everything yourself isn’t saving you money, it is in fact LOSING you money. Imagine if that hour (or probably more) a day you spend replying to emails or scheduling social media, or one of the other million tasks you deal with could be spent on your highest-earning work instead.

That could be 5 extra power hours or coaching sessions a week at £100+ EACH! If you can earn an additional £500+ a week by working on money-making tasks, why would you spend your time working on tasks you could delegate to a VA for £35/hour*? You’re losing out big time!

*Cheaper VAs are available, but we’re trying not to make the same bad mistakes again right?!

Yes, hiring a VA for 5 hours a week may cost you £175, but you need to reframe your mindset. Based on the above scenario, by NOT hiring a VA, you’re actually LOSING £325 or more EVERY WEEK! Over the year that’s £16k+ of lost earnings.

Obviously, your circumstances may be different but do the math. I work with clients who charge as much as £595 an hour - they can potentially earn £2,975 extra EVERY WEEK by hiring a VA for just 1 hour a day. Even after the VA fee that's still a potential £2,800 Every. Single. Week.

Spend your time where it really counts and hand over the rest to a VA. If you’re not sure where to start, download my free worksheet to help you determine which tasks to delegate.

“...A poor VA can be a drain on your time, but a great VA like Emma is gold, and worth every dime...”

3. There are plenty of great VAs out there

Yes, you’ve had a bad experience, and I completely understand you may be reluctant to try again, but there are hundreds (if not thousands) of skilled VAs out there to work with.

You’re never going to hit your long-term goals if you continue to go it alone. So why not try again, and this time find a great VA who will not only free up your time but will become your biggest cheerleader and do everything they can to help you scale your business to the next level?

Are you ready to try again? If so, I’d love to help you find a great VA. Because I personally hand-picked my VAs, I know their skills and experience, and who they like to work with, so I can easily pair you up.

My priority is to make sure you’re happy with your VA and that they become a valued member of your team.

Now doesn’t that sound like a better experience already?
