A Little Bit About Me

Hi, I’m Emma, and I work from my home office near St. Ives, Cambridgeshire. I'm a proud mum of three, a crime drama TV addict, a lover of good food (well, all food really, who doesn't love a slice of cake sometimes) and I dream of one day living by the sea with a beautiful sea view. 

My decision to set up my own virtual assistant business was inspired by my partner who runs his own successful signwriting business. He opened my eyes to just how much ‘behind the scenes’ work is involved in the day-to-day running of a business, from admin and chasing up leads to marketing and social media… the list is endless! Like many small business owners he did not want to employ staff, he just needed some support so that he could focus his time on doing what he does best, making signs and in turn making money.

I now work with a team of fabulous associate VA's who enable me to take on more clients than I could manage alone and help me to do better work for you. Together we work with a diverse range of businesses, all of whom have different challenges to solve and different tasks they need help with. My clients range from freelancers and small business owners, charities and social enterprises, through to busy executives working in large corporate organisations, such as a global company based in London whose activities span across 50 countries. Due to the nature of working virtually, I can work with clients in any location, with no geographical limitation, but my heart lies in working with other small business owners in the UK, so I choose to only work with UK clients.

I'm committed to providing the very best service to both you and your customers and it's my goal to treat your business as if it were my own and become a valued member of your team. My love of helping other small businesses led me to found the St Ives Business Network  Facebook group to engage with and help businesses in my local community. BLOG WRITING

We can design you a branded newsletter template in MailChimp and upload your content on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis. If you prefer we can write the newsletter content for you; all you need to do is review and approve it before we send it out to your email list. We can even create the sign-up forms for you and help you grow your email list! If you don't currently send a newsletter you're missing a great opportunity to keep your customers and connections updated. 
We can suggest blog post ideas, research content, source photographs and write your blog for you so that you have regular, engaging content going out to your audience. If you prefer to write your own blog but just need someone to proofread and edit it for you, we can do that too. Blogging is not only a great way to connect and engage with your target audience, it drives additional traffic to your website; it really is vital to your online presence.

We can carry out research on your competitors, review their website and pricing structure and give you impartial feedback on their service. We can shop around for new suppliers, research the best prices and get you quotations so that you can compare against your current suppliers. We can search for articles relevant to your business or industry and collate a report specific to your needs so that you are kept up-to-date with the latest news and trends.
We can keep in regular contact with your customers to ensure they are getting great customer service. We can help with support queries, book in appointments, chase leads and respond to social media comments. We can send out quotes and invoices and maintain contact with them to help prevent overdue or unpaid invoices. We can set up and maintain a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for your customer records.

We can carefully proofread your marketing materials, website and blog posts to eliminate spelling, grammar and typographical errors. We can give your business correspondence and marketing materials a professional, clear finish. First impressions are key and poor documentation could lose you business. Before you get flyers or brochures printed make sure you get them proofread. It can be a costly mistake to spot errors afterwards. 
As well as business support we can help you with personal tasks that you struggle to find the time for. Whether it be searching for the best home or car insurance deal when your renewal is due, or the best provider for your utilities or mobile phone we can help. Minimum booking of just 1 hour. Perfect for clients in need of support with a one-off task or project.  
£30 per hour Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm; £50 per hour for urgent out of hours support. 
10 hours resource allocated per month. Perfect for clients in need of occasional support throughout the month. Most often booked by sole traders and small business owners looking to outsource for the first time.
20 hours resource allocated per month. Perfect for clients in need of regular weekly support. Most often booked by established business owners looking to take their business to the next level.
